Doxiciclina Calox derived from tetracyclines which, because it is more fat soluble, exerts its effect on the bacteria with greater efficiency and speed. Broad spectrum, it acts against gram + and gram- bacteria, in addition to having activity against Rickettsia, Chlamydias and Mycoplasmas.
Composition Each tablet contains:
- Doxycycline 50 mg.
- Excipients c.s.p. 1 tablet.
Indications
Treatment of bacterial diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, respiratory and genitourinary tract, in infections by Rickettsias, Chlamydias and mycoplasmas. Effective against anaerobic bacteria and some facultative gram-, Nocardia sp, Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli, Shigella sp, Salmonella sp, Campylobacter sp.
Dose
5 mg / kg initial dose, 2.5 mg / kg every 12 hours for 2 days and continue on the third day of treatment every 24 hours. In canine Ehrlichiosis problems, 10 mg / kg is recommended every day for 21 days or at the discretion of the veterinarian.
